Welcome to the SOS (Smart Operations and Systems) Lab at the Department of Industrial Management and Information Systems.

Our lab is dedicated to advancing research in logistics-centered digital twin frameworks for complex production and logistics systems. We focus on the systematic modeling, analysis, and optimization of material flows, information flows, and operational decision-making across manufacturing and logistics environments.

Our research topics include simulation-based logistics modeling, production and material handling system design, demand and flow uncertainty analysis, and AI-driven decision support for scheduling, routing, and resource allocation. In particular, we emphasize vision-based data acquisition, discrete-event simulation, and reinforcement learning to address practical challenges in smart factories and supply chain operations.
