Sonic the Hedgehog (ソニック・ザ・ヘッジホッグ) is a platform video game developed by Games23ds on Scratch Released on August 6, 2020. The story follows Sonic the Hedgehog and Miles "Tails" Prower on their mission to stop the evil Doctor Robotnik from obtaining the Chaos Emeralds hidden somewhere on South Island. Sonic and Tails must defeat Robotnik's army and free their friends. Featuring the popular mascot of Sega, the titular Sonic the Hedgehog, this game served as the launch title for the Sonic Reimagined Series

A very long time ago, the people of Mobius used the 7 mysterious stones called the Chaos Emeralds to advance their civilization, and they achieved great prosperity. However, when those people once they saw what they could do, and tried to use the stones for greed and power, their prosperity and lives mysteriously vanished overnight. After that, legend said the gods sealed the 7 stones away somewhere on Mobius. While 2 have not been found yet, legend says the last 5 are hidden on South Island
In Present day, South Island is all peaceful and quiet... except for the occasional sonic boom as future hero Sonic the Hedgehog who was practicing his speed runs. Sonic has lived on South Island his whole life, completely unaware of the dark history of his island's past. That was until one day that changed his life. It all started like a normal day with Sonic going for a usual loud practice run on his island, only something was off. His animal friends were nowhere to be seen and there was some weird base on the island.
At the same time, a little two tailed fox named Miles Prower was flying in the air near South Island. Miles wandered off from his family when he was a young lad and has been traveling across Mobius looking for a family or home for years, though it's been unsuccessful due to his 2 tails and it leading to people thinking of him as a freak. Throughout his time adventuring, Miles learned to fly by using his two tails as propellers, got a map of Mobius that he carries, and changed himself to Tails due to his tails and him hating his name Miles. He pulled out his map of crossed places of Mobius and saw the only choice he had not crossed out was South Island and he looked to the Island as he sighed and said: "I hope this one goes well compare to the others. If not, I'm outta luck!". The fox found a area to land on the Island and around the area. "This looks like a good place to live in" said Tails. "I should get a high view of the island". As Tails wounded up his tails again and flew in the air to see a good view of the island.
Tails flew around the island and was amazed how beautiful the island looked with its lush trees, rivers and nature feel. And as he was admiring the island, he saw Sonic below on his run. And at that point, he was amazed at first sight
Though the rest of his run, Tails secretly followed him, whirling his tails like a helicopter rotor and takes off flying until he catches up, hiding in the shadows under the palm trees if Sonic turned around. But when Sonic turned and ran off, the fox followed behind him as fast as he could. After a while, Sonic said "Well, he can do whatever he wants." and left it at that, not taking particular interest in whatever it was the fox was doing.
Tails followed him in the forest, watching Sonic perform. Sonic would run, spin and jump in his Super Spin Attack. Suddenly, Tails just couldn't help himself. He took a running start, curled up his tails, and - whoosh - he was spinning like Sonic!
When Sonic was done with his run, he was still confused as to what happened to his animal friends. Then, the sky got dark. "That's strange. Mobius Chronicles said it was going to be sunny today and not get cloudy" Sonic said confused. But when he looked up, it wasn't cloudy. It was an airship. "What the-?!" Sonic exclaimed
And on that airship was an capsule with his friends inside and next to it was Dr. Robotnik. Robotnik originally had a Chaos Emerald which caused him to studied the history of the Chaos Emeralds and head to South Island to find them with a plan of global disaster. He needs workers to create a doomsday machine that can take over the world. So he's trapping all the animals, turning them into robots, and forcing them to find the Chaos Emeralds! "I've found it at last! The place where the Chaos Emeralds sleep! Using the Emerald to track them was a brilliant idea Now I should be able to finish my ultimate weapon: The Death Egg!" Robotnik said menacingly
"Not if I have anything to say about it!" said Sonic as he stepped out of the trees "Oh-ho!" Robotnik said "You want to try to stop me? The Evil Robotnik? Gya— Ha Ha Ha Ha! I like to see you try!" "OK, Robotnik," says Sonic, "You're charged with contempt of hedgehog. Time to juice!" Sonic then dashed off to find the Chaos Emeralds first with Tails secretly tagging along behind him.
As Sonic and Tails race through the Zones of the island, they engages in numerous confrontations with the nefarious Robotnik's deadly machines, collecting a Chaos Emerald in each one, and ascending from the lush Green Hills, to the Caverns, all the way to the newly build city Robotnik build by ether by a hang glider (Sonic) or by flying there (Tails). Ending up in Robotnik's Base, the frustrated Robotnik, seeing Sonic and Tails have collected the Chaos Emeralds and defeated his creations, goes to his base to deal with the hedgehog or fox himself. But he ends up losing his emerald to them, and flees to his Sky Base to prepare his last dastardly contraption to end his adversaries but proves no match for Sonic and Tails' awesome might, and his machine is totaled.
Fleeing with his tail between his legs, Robotnik abandons his Sky Base as it explodes, crumbling to scrap, with Sonic and Tails narrowly escaping, with Sonic landing on the lush Green Hill and Tails flying to safe on a high platform. Following their escape, Sonic and Tails looks behind him to see Robotnik's base go down. Tails sees Sonic down below and flies down to finally meet him and introduces himself to Sonic. However, once he does, six Chaos Emeralds react to one another and release a burst of light before disappearing, rejuvenating the wildlife and nature of South Island, leaving Sonic and Tails astonished before ether Sonic or Tails jumps up towards the screen and poses (depending on who the player was playing as) and the duo became friends.
In the post-credits scene, Dr. Robotnik sees an island that he has plans of going too.

Sonic the Hedgehog plays identically to the original Sonic games released around the same time, with its primary focus is on fast gameplay and quick reflexes. As the player, the player controls either Sonic or Tails. There are seven zones in total, with Sonic and Tails needing to reach the end of each Zone within ten minutes while collecting Chaos Emeralds and avoiding hazards along the way. At the end of each zone , Sonic and Tails faces off against ether one of Robotnik's death machines (Stages 1-5) or Dr. Robotnik himself (Stages 6-7). For each battle, Sonic or Tails will win a Chaos Emerald (Stages 1-6) or the Capsule (Stage 7)
Both Sonic and Tails have different abilities to tell each other apart. In addition, the game pays much close attention to the plot, as small "cut-scenes" are played to show the story's progress for both characters

The smaller mode for players who doesn't have enough time to beat the game. You play as level as Sonic or Tails. The difference is that Tails cannot fly

The continuing hill area, but the sun's setting. The boss is Self D-Struct Machine

The inner place where the Chaos Emeralds sleep. The boss is Drillbot
Dark Labyrinth
A flooded area deep under South Island. The boss is Doctor Robotnik's Whirlpool Machine

This is the only game where Tails' straps are dark red instead of red and his socks are red instead of white
