Mighty the Armadillo (マーディー・ザ・アルマジロ) is a 2D platformer game developed by Games23ds on Scratch released on November 5, 2020, just 4 months after Sonic the Hedgehog. The game marks the debuts of Mighty the Armadillo, Ray the Flying Squirrel, Amy Rose, Boomy the Turtle and Metal Sonic, with Dr. Robotnik returning. The story centers around Mighty rescuing Animals and Ray who was kidnapped by Dr. Robotnik.
After Sonic and Tails ruined his plans for world domination on South Island, the evil Dr. Ivo Robotnik is fleeing annoyed with his badly damaged Sky Base. "Augh!! I hate revolting hedgehog and that two tailed fox! They ruined my plans and got all the Chaos Emeralds! And the worse part, they had all of the remaining Chaos Emeralds I did not have on South Island! I was so close to getting them all!" As Robotnik's fuming, he gets a signal for the Chaos Emeralds "What's this? A signal? Hmmm" He hit the find location button to find their coming from an island called Westside Island. "There's a Chaos Emerald here? ? I got an idea!" Robotnik then heads to Westside Island to try to have a plan B.
Westside Island is an important island on Mobius that's floating in the distant south ocean... It's a beautiful island that floated on a coral reef.
Mighty and his friends, Ray, Boomer and Amy has been living on this island for quite a long time.
Mighty is a armadillo that lives in the southern outskirts of the island, living a carefree life with his friends.
On that day, Ray was picking flowers for Amy. "Amy will love these" When all of a sudden, Robotnik came behind him "Hello Ray." "W-w-who are you? And how do you know my name?" "Name's Robotnik. I've been spying on you for a while, and I got one thing to say. Run." Right behind Robotnik was a robot that look like Sonic "Metal, grab him". As soon as he started, Ray dropped the flowers and ran.
Meanwhile, Mighty was enjoying a nap in the shade of the forest. The forest's greenery blocking sun's glare, the wing flapping and the chirping of the little birds made him feel really good. However...
AHHHH!!! He heard the sound of a scream that suddenly echoed in the forest!!
"Whoa, what the!? What's going on!?" Mighty panicked with a half awake look. He then heard Ray's screams
"Mighty! HELP!"
"That's Ray!" Immanently, Mighty got up and dashed
Mighty rushes to save Ray, as sees him being chased by Robotnik. "Stop running, Squirrel! You're mine!" Robotnik yelled at Ray. "Stay away from me!" "Ray!" Mighty yelled. "Mighty! Help!"
Mighty tries to save him, pushing with all his might, but he arrives too late as Metal grabs Ray "Gotcha!" Says Robotnik when the robot grabs him "Come on, Metal. We got business to do" "Mighty! Help! I'm Scared!" Yelled Ray "Hey! Get back here!" Mighty then stops to see Robotnik taking away Ray. He has so many questions
"What will become of Ray and my buddies? Who was that robot? And who is this Robotnik?" Mighty thought. He has so many questions, but for now, there's no time to waste pondering questions! Mighty started running to save his friend into the Emerald Forest
In the deep Emerald Forest, Mighty is annoyed with him losing track of Robotnik and disappointed in himself for slacking off on his job to protect Ray runs into Metal, who he fights until Metal runs and Mighty follows. As Mighty gets deeper into the forest, it's set ablaze by Robotnik by his Egg Pilot, who, after Mighty defeats his robot, announces to Mighty there are more robots on the island, and takes Ray hostage deep in his base. Mighty then ponders that if there are more machines like that all around the island, he needs to stop them before they do any harm before he saves Ray and heads to Mobi Village to see Amy and Boomy
On Robotnik's fortress, he locks Ray in a cage and tells him his plans to use Mighty's relationship with Ray to his advantage to trap him and leaves Ray to send orders and begin his chaos on Westside Island. As Robotnik walks out, Ray pleas to Mighty to be careful
Mighty heads to Mobi Village to Boomy's Lab and tells Boomy and Amy what happened and ask for help. They offers their help, with Boomy letting Mighty use his new teleporter and Amy going to get some items for Mighty to use
After returning from Snow Hill, Mighty returned to Boomy's Lab with Boomy holding a letter he got when he left from Ray. The note explained that all the Animals on Westside Island had been kidnapped by Robotnik, and that Ray was being held prisoner in a place called the Death Base. There, Robotnik forced Ray to write in the note that the doctor would only free Ray if Mighty defeated his robots.
In addition to what had been written, Ray also wrote that Robotnik had build Robots to await Mighty in each zone, and warned Mighty to careful as the diabolical doctor had specific plans to eliminate him.
After reading the letter and knowing of Ray's fate, Mighty immediately realized he has no time to waste and continue his quest to his set off to find the other robots, collecting rings and smashing robots along the way with the run-in with Metal from time to time

After breaking into the base and destroying robots and clashing and dealing with Metal one last time, he reaches where Ray is still in his cage and with his armadillo shell, destroys it and sets Ray free . But before the 2 can go to find Amy, a guard of robots a guarding the way out with Robotnik stepping in behind them. Saying because of him seeing his strength, he's willing to spare them if they join his army. Which Mighty and Ray decline, but end up getting captured by Metal.
