The Freedom Fighters is a group of rebel fighters led by Sonic the Hedgehog opposing the tyranny of Dr. Ivo Robotnik. Their activities involves aiding those suffering from the actions of Robotnik, and their ultimate goal is to rid Mobius of the doctor forever

Somewhat kind and girly, Amy is presented as an over-enthusiastic, but good natured hedgehog girl with a preference for cute things, sweets, and shopping. she's an "optimistic tomboy" who loves fortunes and uses tarot cards. And with her Piko Piko Hammer, she's going to show her friends she's not a damsel in distress

Dr. Robotnik is the longtime enemy of Sonic and co. With an IQ of 300, he has a vast knowledge of mechanics and making machines, many of which being powered by small critters stuffed into robots he considers Badniks.
Despite his large ego and somewhat goofy attitude, Robotnik has a reputation of causing massive global disasters. No matter how much damage or chaos his plans may cause, the doctor is dead set on taking over Mobius and defeating Sonic and his Freedom Fighters by any means necessary.

Despite being built to match Sonic the Hedgehog in all aspects, Metal is vastly different from his organic counterpart in terms of personality. Rather than fun-loving, cool, and carefree, Metal Sonic is a violent, aggressive, cold-hearted, and intelligent killing machine with a large superiority complex. Early on though, he had a habit of mimicking Sonic's gestures, perhaps in a mocking manner.
While he is usually another of Robotnik's mindless robot slaves, Metal Sonic possesses an AI that grants him sentience (though he is still restricted by his programming). This trait, however, has only been used by Metal Sonic to fuel his dark goals of destruction and domination and allowed his programming to evolve beyond what had been intended more than once. At most times, Metal Sonic is emotionless and completely obedient to Dr. Robotnik. Beneath this facade, however, he carries a deep desire for vengeance. When facing a foe, Metal Sonic usually remains quiet and coldly serious, making him a silent killer in a literal sense.
