Tails is an 10-year-old fox whose is Sonic the Hedgehog's faithful Freedom Fighter and adopted younger brother who is able to fly by using his two tails as propellers.
Based of the Greg Martin art and DIC cartoons, Tails is a short anthropomorphic fox with a unique genetic mutation giving him two long and fluffy tails instead of one. He possesses burnt-orange fur and beige fur on his tail tips, muzzle, and belly, and has both cheek tuffs and three hair strands on his forehead with his attire, he wears white sneakers with Red Stripes and white gloves with blue wristbands.
Not much is known about his past. The most that's known is when Miles was a young lad, he lost his family in the woods and has been traveling across Mobius looking for a family or home, though it's been unsuccessful due to his 2 tails. Throughout his time, Miles learned to fly by using his two tails as propellers, and changed himself to Tails due to his tails and him hating his name Miles
Tails is an adventurous, sweet-natured and loyal fox with a positive attitude. In the beginning, he was timid and quiet and originally hated his tails, but since the South Island Incident and Meeting Sonic, he has opened up and become more outgoing over the years and learned to appreciate and love his tails, especially since they have come in handy during close calls . Tails is not one to grab the spotlight for himself and instead, is always ready and willing to help others without asking for anything in return. Tails has a distinct love for mechanics and he finds himself most home in his workshop on South Island working on his next creation. Despite his great skills, Tails is very humble about his abilities, never giving them many thoughts, though he has yet to discover his true potential of what he can accomplish. When young, Tails often lacked self-confidence and courage. After meeting Sonic and gaining his support, Tails gained more confidence and belief in himself. And while he isn't the bravest Freedom Fighter, he has become more outgoing since he has met Sonic, becoming the hero when need be. Regardless, Tails hopes to one day be self-sufficient, and not constantly rely on others, and be just as independent as Sonic.
Tails has one thing that makes him one of the best Freedom Fighters for Agility - his twin tails. He can use them to hover like a helicopter, or with a quick flick he can change direction or spin though the air. Which makes him good for hovering over deadly areas or carrying his buddies
Tails has many friends besides Sonic, and his skills are respected by everyone who knows him. Tails mostly treats and respects all his friends the same with a humble and somewhat passive attitude.
Sonic the Hedgehog is Tails' best friend, as the two have been inseparable since they first met in Sonic the Hedgehog. On South Island, Tails saw Sonic running at incredibly high speeds. He was impressed by the cool blue hedgehog and began to follow. Sonic eventually stopped and the two became close friends. He began to hang out around Sonic at all times of the day, catching up with him using his two tails. Sonic usually treats Tails as the "younger brother" that he never had. Sonic and Tails were always there to help each other, their friendship growing until they had a more brotherly relationship. It is often Tails who creates machines for Sonic in his help. They are known as the "Unbreakable Bond" when they team up. Together, they have proven themselves a near-perfect duo; both provides strengths to the other's weaknesses (Tails provides the smarts while Sonic handles the speed), and they have demonstrated profound teamwork in combat. Whenever Sonic has an adventure, he always comes to Tails and asks him to come along and Tails is always ready to help. Sonic is also an idol to Tails, and Tails just wants to be as heroic as he is.
Despite his admiration of him, Tails can sometimes get annoyed by Sonic's fast-paced behavior and attitude as Sonic can sometimes be rather careless when setting a game plan
For the Most Part, Mighty and Tails are on good terms
Tails has been one of Dr. Robotnik's biggest enemies along with Sonic, whether he is against him head on or helping out Sonic in any way he can. Robotnik's plans are always foiled by Sonic and Tails, sometimes because he targets one and forgets about the other (Which can lead to some good hero moment)
