Pre-K & Rising K Program Overview

Welcome to ESY 2019 at Montrose Early Childhood Center! We are looking forward to a great summer and have lots of fun activities planned. Our theme this summer is beach/ boardwalk/ aquarium.

Curriculum: Tools of the Mind. An overview of the curriculm can found on the Tools of the Mind website.

This summer there will be at least two paraprofessionals in the classroom helping your children throughout the day.

The program runs M-F from 9:00– 1:00 with July 4^th being off. Please advise us if your child will be absent or late on any given day.

Important Information for the ESY Summer Program

1. Please label all items with your child’s name:

• A refillable water bottle
• Extra summer clothes - in a labeled Ziploc bag.
• Water shoes –these will stay in school
• Sunscreen and a hat (if you want them to be wearing a hat outside).
• A hearty, healthy daily snack

2. We will be having water play once a week. Please send in a bathing suit and towel with your child. Once they are used, we will send them home. Then please clean and send back the next day. A Schedule will be sent home.

3. Please make sure your child is wearing appropriate footwear. We will be outside as much as possible
