The following are the group activities of the team LAYAG LINDANG during their third exposure to Barangay Lindang from January 2 to 28, 2025.
Courtesy Call
On the 6th of January 2025, on the 3rd day of community exposure, the medical students gathered once more at the municipal hall of Diplahan, Zamboanga Sibugay.
The students participated in the flag ceremony done at the 1st Monday of the month headed by the different government offices located in the municipality, staff from the Rural Health unit and the Diplahan Police unit.
Afterwards, courtesy call was done with Mayor Eric Y. Palma along with the medical students' community preceptor. The medical students once again stated the purpose of their exposure and plans for the barangay and municipality. Heartfelt appreciation and thanks were given as the students were given approval by the Mayor to continue their community health program for the barangay of Lindang, Diplahan.
Coordination With Stakeholders
On the 10th of January 2025, the medical students reached out to corresponding stakeholders such as the Barangay Health Council heads, Rural Health Unit Program Managers, Local Youth Development Office, Sangguniang Kabataan Chairman and other key personnel to coordinate the proposed programs and management for the barangay health problems.
Visits allowed the stakeholders to add their inputs, gauge their activity and possible contribution, allocate budget and prepare to support the activities and programs to be done in the succeeding exposure.

Presentation of Problems to Barangay
On the 20th of January 2025, the medical students along with the help of the Barangay Secretary, scheduled a meeting with the barangay council to discuss the corresponding projects and stakeholders engaged in the community health plan of the barangay.
The Barangay Health Council was encouraged to take a more active role in the participation and suggestion of other managements and programs that they also believed to be effective. After a thorough discussion, inputs from both the students and the barangay council led way to new ideas on tackling the community health problems listed. The newly added managements were forwarded to the specific stakeholders involved in the succeeding days.
Deworming
On the 23rd of January 2025, the medical students collaborated with the Barangay Council to conduct its Annual Deworming Program.
As with last year's deworming, the target population consists of children ages 1 to 4 years.
The barangay used the advantage of the children's elementary class schedule in order to assemble the students in one venue and collectively list down all participants and give out treatment tablets in the barangay.
