Objectives:

The following overarching observational and modeling topics will be covered by the 'Atmospheric Heating' Science Working Group (WG).

• Spicules, jets and other types of flows

• Small-scale brightenings (from UV bursts to coronal bright points)

• MHD waves and magnetoseismology

• Hot plasma and non-thermal particles in non-flaring active regions

• Coronal condensations

• Stereoscopy of coronal loops
