Structure Breaks & Projections detects when key market structures are broken — and immediately maps where price is likely heading next. Not just a signal. A complete projection lifecycle from the moment of the break to the final target.

Most structure tools tell you when a level breaks. This one tells you what it means for the next move — projecting directional targets, tracking progress toward them in real time, and defining exactly where the structure would fail.

Structure detection is powered by the Price Action Engine™ — an adaptive system that reads market structure directly from live price behavior, without fixed lookback periods or manually tuned swing lengths. There is nothing to calibrate. The structures you see are derived from what the market is actually doing, not from an arbitrary parameter set and forgotten.

Three structural tiers, one unified engine

The tool operates across Minor, Major, and Macro structure simultaneously. Each tier reflects a different scale of market behavior — and when a higher tier activates, it automatically takes priority over lower ones.

Short-Term

Minor

Derived from developing swing behavior. Active during fast-moving conditions. Useful for timing entries around larger structure.

Medium-Term

Major

Reflects dominant intraday and swing-level positioning. Stronger continuation potential and more reliable projection targets.

Long-Term

Macro

Large-scale structural shifts that define primary market bias. Changes occur less frequently but carry the highest directional weight.

In Best Available mode, the tool automatically identifies which tier is currently exerting the strongest directional influence and focuses the projection on that structure. You get the most relevant read without manually switching between tiers.

Core Engine

Identifies when price exceeds a key structural swing level across Minor, Major, and Macro tiers — in real time, on bar close. Each break is assessed for volume context, with participation strength noted alongside the structural event.

Breaks are directional: bullish breaks activate upside projections, bearish breaks activate downside projections. The tool tracks both simultaneously and shows whichever is currently dominant.

Projection Engine

Once a structural break is confirmed, the tool calculates a set of projection levels derived from the geometry of the broken structure — defining where price is likely to travel and where momentum is expected to build, stall, or exhaust.

Projections extend forward in real time and adapt as the market develops. Each level carries a tooltip explaining what it represents in the context of the current move.

Invalidation System

Each active projection carries a defined invalidation zone — the price area where the structural assumption behind the projection would fail. The risk model shows early weakness zones, developing failure areas, and a confirmed invalidation level.

When price approaches or crosses the invalidation level, the projection is automatically removed and the dashboard updates to reflect the new structural reality. No manual cleanup required.

Pre-confirmation layer

An optional layer that surfaces early momentum signals derived from very short-range price behavior — before higher-tier structures fully confirm. Useful for timing awareness and early directional reads when a larger move may be developing.

These are explicitly low-weight signals designed to support timing decisions, not standalone trade setups. They are most useful when aligned with an active higher-tier projection.

Zone Mapping

Displays dynamic support and resistance zones derived directly from confirmed structural pivots. Zones remain active only while structurally valid and update automatically as the market evolves — keeping the chart clean and contextually relevant.

The Projection Lifecycle

Every active projection moves through a defined set of states, tracked in real time by the dashboard. Understanding the current state tells you how mature the move is and what to expect next.

Emerging

A structural break has occurred and the projection path is activated. Price has not yet reached the first development threshold. Directional intent is present but not yet building.

Developing

Price has begun advancing along the projected path. Momentum is forming and the structure is being respected, but full confirmation is still ahead.

Confirmed

A key continuation threshold has been reached. The directional follow-through is validated and the projection is actively progressing. Often a decision zone for continuation or brief consolidation.

Extended

Price has exceeded normal continuation expectations. Trend commitment is strengthening and directional control is intact. Common area for trend acceleration.

Primary Target

The main projection objective has been reached. This represents successful execution of the structural move. Profit-taking and volatility often increase at this level.

Exhaustion

Price has moved beyond the primary projection range. Continuation is still possible but reversal risk is increasing. Watch for momentum divergence or opposing structure formation.

Pullback

Price has retraced below the break level while the projection structure remains intact. Pullbacks are normal during healthy trend development — this state monitors structural health during the retracement.

Risk

Price is below the projection origin and structural control is deteriorating. Invalidation probability is increasing. Monitor closely — if the defined risk boundary is breached, the projection is automatically removed.

How to use Structure Breaks & Projections

A practical framework for integrating Structure Breaks & Projections into your trading workflow.

1 Let Best Available mode do the filtering

In Best Available mode, the tool automatically surfaces the most structurally dominant projection at any given time. When a higher tier activates, lower-tier projections are suppressed. You see the signal that matters most — without manually managing three separate tiers.

2 Use the dashboard to read projection health at a glance

The Projection Intelligence Panel tells you the current state and progress of every active projection without needing to read individual levels. A green, advancing projection is very different from one sitting in Pullback or Risk — the panel surfaces that context instantly.

3 Trade toward projection levels, not away from them

Projection levels are structural targets. Once a break is confirmed and the state moves to Developing or Confirmed, the next projection level becomes a high-probability draw for price. Use them to set targets, scale out, or anticipate where the market is heading rather than reacting to where it has been.

4 Respect the invalidation boundary

Every projection has a defined price level where the structural case fails. The risk model makes this explicit — showing early weakness zones before the final invalidation threshold. If price is in Risk state and approaching that boundary, the projected move is in serious question and position risk should be reduced.

5 Use Early Context for timing, not direction

The Early Structure Context layer shows pre-confirmation momentum signals. These are most useful when an active Major or Macro projection is already running and you're looking for a timing signal within the move — not as standalone directional calls on their own.
