About the Creator

I didn't start out building trading tools. I started out trading.

After a 20-year career leading a consultancy and development company in the global telecom and network systems space, I came to TradingView in 2018 with an engineer's curiosity and a trader's mindset.

I'd always assumed trading indicators were far more complex than they appeared - until I actually looked at a few. Out of curiosity, I opened Pine Script for the first time and immediately recognized the syntax. It was remarkably close to shell scripting, something I'd been fluent in for years.

What started as an experiment quickly became a serious craft.

So I built them myself.

From Engineer to Pine Script Wizard

My background is in Electronics Engineering - I hold a Master's degree in the field - and that technical foundation shaped the way I approach market analysis. When I began writing Pine Script seriously in 2020, I wasn't thinking about selling indicators. I was trying to solve my own problems as a trader: how to read market structure clearly, how to track capital flow without noise, and how to manage risk in leveraged markets without guesswork.

The community noticed. In 2022, TradingView recognized me as a Pine Script Wizard - one of a select group of developers acknowledged for technical depth and contribution to the platform. I'm also a member of TradingView Insiders and the PineCoders Pro Community - an elite circle of advanced Pine Script developers focused on pushing the platform forward.

Under the alias dgtrd, I've built a community of more than 46,000 traders and investors on TradingView, publishing a wide range of open-source scripts - most of them completely free. Contributing to the community has always come first. The premium tools at SoleMare Analytics came later, built for traders who wanted to go deeper.

What SoleMare Analytics Is About

SoleMare Analytics exists because I believe retail traders deserve the same analytical clarity, institutional players take for granted.

Long before a single premium tool existed, thousands of traders were already using my free scripts every day. That trust wasn't built through marketing - it was built through reliable code, honest documentation, continuous improvements, and a genuine commitment to the trading community that I still maintain today.

Most tools give you a signal. They don't show you why. They don't adapt to how markets evolve. They make traders dependent on alerts instead of helping them understand market behavior.

Everything I build follows one principle: tools should sharpen your thinking, not replace it.

Profitability isn't something a tool can guarantee - and I'll never claim otherwise.

What good tools can do is reduce uncertainty. They can help you recognize when a move is backed by real conviction instead of noise. They can reveal where markets are likely to react, where liquidity may sit, and where momentum is likely to accelerate. Most importantly, they can help traders avoid unnecessary mistakes and approach the market with greater clarity and confidence.

That's the standard I hold myself to with every update, every feature, and every line of Pine Script I write.
