Technical Analyst
Every indicator you need. One table. One chart. Zero extra panes.
Most traders run five to ten indicators simultaneously - trend tools, momentum oscillators, volume analysis, sentiment. Each one lives in a separate pane, requires its own interpretation, and demands that you mentally synthesise conflicting signals in real time. The Technical Analyst was built to solve exactly this problem.
It calculates eleven independent technical indicators simultaneously, presents each one as a colour-coded bias reading in a compact on-chart table, projects the oscillators directly onto the price chart without requiring separate panes, and aggregates all readings into a single composite score. Everything visible at once, on one chart, with no pane-switching required.
The Real-Time Report Table
The report table displays eleven indicators across four categories - Trend, Momentum, Pressure, and Volume - plus a Fear & Greed Index and an Overall Signal composite. Each row shows the indicator name, its current directional bias (strong bullish, bullish, neutral, bearish, strong bearish), and the specific values behind that reading.
Two display modes are available. Summary View shows a compact two-column layout - indicator name and bias - with full detail accessible by hovering any cell. The expanded view adds a third column showing live values, signal context, and bars-since-last-cross data for every indicator simultaneously.
Bias cells are colour-coded consistently: teal shades for bullish readings (darker = stronger), red shades for bearish readings (darker = stronger), and grey for neutral or trendless conditions. The visual result is an immediate, scannable snapshot of market state across multiple timeframes and analytical frameworks.
Trend Indicators
Moving Averages - price position relative to a configurable fast MA and slow MA, with distance percentages and bars since last cross. Strong bullish when price is above both; mixed signals flagged with an asterisk.
DMI / ADX - Directional Movement Index with configurable strong and weak trend thresholds. Reports whether the current trend is strong bullish, bullish, bearish, strong bearish, or trendless, alongside ADX direction and bars since last DI cross.
Ichimoku Cloud - full Kumo system with Tenkan/Kijun cross status. Reports price position relative to the cloud (above, inside, below) and whether the TK cross confirms or contradicts the cloud position. Strong bullish requires both price above cloud and Tenkan above Kijun.
Dual SuperTrend - two independently configured SuperTrend lines. Both above price confirms a downtrend; both below confirms an uptrend; mixed signals indicate a transitioning market. Using two lines significantly reduces false flips compared to a single SuperTrend.
Momentum Indicators
RSI - with configurable overbought, oversold, and optional smoothing line. Reports current bias category and flags overbought/oversold conditions explicitly.
Stochastic - %K and %D with full cross context. Reports the interaction between %K level, %D signal, and the overbought/oversold zones simultaneously, including mixed signal flags where %K direction contradicts its zone position.
MACD - line vs signal and zero-line position combined. Strong bullish requires MACD above signal and above zero. Strong bearish requires both below. Mixed signals flagged when the cross contradicts the zero-line position.
Pressure Indicators
Elder Bull Bear Power (BBP) - net buying and selling pressure relative to the 13-period EMA consensus line. Reports whether buyers or sellers are in control, flags neutral conditions where price and net power are misaligned, and tracks bars since the last cross.
Market Pressure (DPR) - a custom pressure oscillator accumulating buying and selling volume pressure bar by bar across the lookback period, normalised to 0–100. Upper and lower band crossings identify overbought and oversold pressure conditions with optional smoothing.
Volume
Volume pressure splits the current bar's volume into buying and selling components based on price location within the bar range. The percentage split is reported alongside the overall volume level relative to the moving average - high, average, or low - with the bar count for how long the volume average has been rising.
Fear & Greed Index
A composite sentiment index combining five market-derived components: price MA deviation, rate of return, money flow (volume-weighted), VIX pressure, and gold safe-haven demand. Each component is weighted and blended into a single score that maps to nine sentiment zones from Extreme Fear to Extreme Greed. The full component breakdown - each metric's current reading, its weight, and the composite result - is accessible via tooltip. Bar coloring can optionally reflect the sentiment regime in real time.
Overall Signal
All indicator readings are scored on a scale from -2 (strong bearish) to +2 (strong bullish) per indicator and summed into a composite score out of 13. The overall signal maps this score to Strong Buy, Buy, Weak Buy, Neutral, Weak Sell, Sell, or Strong Sell. A full score breakdown tooltip shows the individual contribution of every indicator to the composite result.
This is presented as a summary aid - not a trading signal. Its value is in revealing consensus and conflict across multiple analytical frameworks simultaneously, not in replacing independent judgment.
Overlay Indicators
RSI, Stochastic, MACD, Bull Bear Power, Market Pressure, and Volume Histogram can each be projected directly onto the price chart as overlays - above or below price with independently configurable height and vertical offset. Reference levels (overbought, midline, oversold) are drawn for bounded oscillators. No separate panes required.
Volume-weighted candle coloring using Fibonacci-derived thresholds can be enabled independently.
Alerts
Dedicated alert conditions are built in for every indicator: MA golden/death cross, DMI trend confirmation and DI cross, Ichimoku cloud breakout and TK cross, dual SuperTrend confirmation, RSI zone entries and smoothing cross, Stochastic zone entries and %K/%D cross, MACD signal and zero-line cross, BBP cross, Market Pressure zone entries, volume surge and extreme spike, and Fear & Greed zone transitions. All alerts include ticker, price, and the specific signal context.
All indicator lengths, thresholds, MA types, overlay positions, and alert toggles are fully and independently configurable.
