There has been no progress due to covid-19
March 26, 2020
As far as ongoing situation is concerned our progress has been delayed by a week. Therefore, we started our next scheduled task which is to build prototype. We faced some problems in the circuit, where our infrared sensor was not functioning as per desired output. We also made few changes in our programming to resolve the problem we were facing through. Secondly, we also updated progress report #2 and made a presentation exercise for COMM. The next task is to finish completion phase of prototype, which would be done by next wee.

As in our third phase we have completed software simulation and testing. We have also programmed our arduino logic , which was one of the challenging part of project. Tested circuit on breadboard to know actual functions and problems, so that it could be easy to troubleshoot before finalization. Arduino is also loaded with program by using DC voltage as input. In our next phase we would connect solar panel with battery and start making of prototype.

In our second stage we have ordered all the components and basic materials needed to start project. After meetings with our technical adviser Prof. Abeer Sheikhly suggested us to make various changes in our project, which could decrease complexity of circuit. So far we are done with complete Gantt chart , schematics, rough EVA, which can lead us towards final goal of project. We have changed some components like using 18 v solar panel and voltage regulator to control voltage rating of circuit as per discussed with technical adviser. In our next phase of project we will work on software to test our circuit and ratings. Also we will design our arduino programming and load it in arduino.

At first stage of our project we discussed the ideas of our project and team concerns, but after looking at all aspects and meeting with technical adviser we decided to break up into two teams. At this stage we are ready with our plan to make E-Street which would be powered by a solar panel and system will be efficient and cost effective. We also completed preparing scope statement , rough Gantt chart, budget calculations, and risk assessment. Our next task is to prepare BOM (build of materials) and order material based on BOM as soon as possible ,so that we can complete our simulation and testing as earliest as possible.
