1) Go to https://avatarmaker.com/ in your web browser.
2) Choose your gender by clicking on the "Male" or "Female" button.
3) Use the sliders and drop-down menus to customize your avatar's facial features, hair, clothing, and accessories. You can also use the "Random" button to generate a completely new avatar.
4) Once you're satisfied with your avatar, click the "Download" button to save it to your computer. You can choose to download your avatar as a PNG, SVG, or PDF file.
5) If you want to share your avatar on social media, click the "Share" button to generate a link that you can copy and paste.
7) That's it! With these simple steps, you can easily create your own avatar using Avatar Maker. Have fun!

In previous lessons, students have been working on writing some ideas or paragraphs of a short story. At this point, they will use avatars as a representation of their characters’ appearance.
Aim/Objective/Communicative purpose: Students will use the tool “Free Avatar Maker” to create avatars that represent their characters in creative writing projects and explore the role of avatars in character development.
Activity #1
Introduce the topic of creative writing and the importance of creating well-developed characters. Discuss how avatars can be used to represent characters and enhance the writing process.
Activity #2
Show the class how to use www.freeavatarmaker.com to create avatars that represent their characters. Demonstrate how to use the different features and tools on the website to create avatars that reflect character traits, appearance, and personality.
Activity #3 (application stage)
Give students time to create avatars for their characters in their creative writing projects. Encourage them to think about their character’s personality and appearance in depth, so that they can be represented on the avatar.
Activity #4
Provide students with creative writing prompts or exercises that require them to use their avatars as inspiration for character development. Encourage them to explore the backstories and motivations of their characters and use their avatars as visual aids.
Activity #5
Ask students to share their avatars and writing projects with the class. Encourage students to ask questions and give feedback to each other.
Reflection (5 minutes): Ask students to reflect on what they learned from this activity and how they can use avatars to enhance their creative writing projects in the future.
Always monitor students as they work on their avatars and writing projects and provide feedback and assistance as needed. Assess their participation in the class discussion and their reflection on the activity.
