2. CHAT GPT
Chat GPT is a versatile AI language model. Its primary use is to assist and provide information across a wide range of topics. In the field of education, it can serve as a valuable tool with several uses and utilities, such as research assistance, homework help, language learning, tutoring and exam preparation, creative writing support, accessibility and inclusion, virtual classroom companion, among many others. However, it's important to highlight that while it can be a useful educational tool, it cannot substitute a personalized instruction neither human interaction. Its responses are generated based on patterns in data, and it may not always provide the depth of understanding or context that a human educator can offer.
How to use it
Visit https://chat.openai.com and click on "Sign in". You can choose to create an account from scratch or log in with your google, microsoft or apple account.
Once you're on the ChatGPT interface, you'll typically see a chat-like interface where you can start a conversation. There is a text box where you can write your questions and/or ideas. If in doubt what to ask, upon the chat you'll see some prompts to start chatting.
Start the conversation with a greeting or an introduction. For example, you can begin with "Hello" or "Hi."
After the greeting, type your question or request. Make your query as clear and specific as possible. For instance, if you want information about a historical event, you can ask, "Can you tell me about the Battle of Gettysburg?"
ChatGPT is designed to have interactive conversations. You can continue the conversation by responding to the AI's replies. Ask follow-up questions or seek clarification if needed.
If your question or request is context-dependent, it can be helpful to provide some background information to ensure the AI understands your query better.
As you receive responses from ChatGPT, review them for accuracy and clarity. If the response isn't what you expected, you can ask for clarification or rephrase your question.
For certain tasks, like creative writing or coding assistance, you can provide more specific prompts. For example, "Write a short poem about nature" or "Help me with a Python code snippet to calculate factorial."
When you're finished with your conversation or have received the information you needed, you can conclude the interaction with a thank-you message or simply by closing the chat.
