As part of the S8 program I participated in a Summer Bridge program in the summer of 2025, of which I learned valuable information that shaped my learning and will forever treasure and today I want to share with you, welcome to my e-Portfolio.
My name is Sofia Estrada Florez. I go to FTCC for an associate's in science, with the ultimate goal of becoming veterinarian. In High School, I was very involved in extracurriculars, such as being president of the Hispanic Honors Society and international club, and vice-president of the Science National Honors Society, and part of many more clubs that aligned with my interests. I led multiple successful service projects, such as a pet supply drive to the Cumberland County Animal Shelter and Christmas donation drives for two consecutive years to the Salvation Army in December.
Some of my hobbies and interests are reading non‑fiction and fiction as well, playing and practicing chess, pressing flowers, and exploring new interests as well as learning new things.
Some of my achievements have been being Student of the Month in the Cumberland County area, receiving an award of excellence from the Hispanic Honors Society, being runner-up, top 5 at HOSA regional veterinary science competition, and receiving a National Law Enforcement Credential.
