As part of the program, we would daily separate 1 or 2 hours into reading all together the book Make It Stick: The Science of Successful Learning, the authors talking about cognitive psychology and presenting strategies for more effective learning. two key strategies that stick with me were retrieval practice and spaced repetition. Retrieval practice involves actively recalling information, such as through self-quizzing or flashcards, which strengthens memory and identifies areas needing further study. Spaced repetition entails reviewing material at increasing intervals, reinforcing learning and preventing forgetting. In my classes, I plan to implement these strategies by incorporating regular quizzes and spaced review sessions into the curriculum aiming and hoping to improve my engagement and retention over time.Â
