Snow leopards breeding season starts in January and lasts until late March. They use vocal calls to help them find a mate, after mating the male then leaves the female. The female is left to find a safe space for her to have her cubs and raise them on her own. The gestation period for is 93 to 110 days, this means the snow leopard will give birth between June and July. Snow leopards usually give birth to 1-4 cubs, the cubs weigh 11 to 25 ounces at birth.
