Welcome to SNDL (Semiconductor-and Nano-Devices Laboratory), where we passionately pursue the cutting edge of Wide Bandgap Semiconductor Research and strive to revolutionize Device Technology and beyond!

Under the leadership of Prof. Sang-Mo Koo, our vibrant research group has been a valued member of Kwangwoon University, Seoul, Korea, since March 2006.

 As we collectively pursue scientific and technological advancements, we create an inspiring and stimulating atmosphere that empowers researchers, graduate students, and undergraduates to achieve their utmost potential.


SNDL(반도체 및 나노 소자 연구실)은 첨단 고에너지갭(WBG)반도체 연구를 통해 디바이스 기술 혁신을 추구하는 연구그룹입니다. 2006년부터 광운대학교의 가치있는 구성원으로 함께하고 있으며, 즐거운 연구 분위기 속에서 전문성을 갖추어 사회에 널리 도움이 되고 기여하는 인재를 양성하고자, 연구원과 학생들이 최상의 잠재력을 발휘할 수 있는 환경을 제공하고 있습니다.

Wide Bandgap (WBG) Semiconductor

WHAT WE DO:

Our research encompasses the exploration and fundamental understanding of semiconductor materials, devices, and circuit integrations, delving into areas such as:

*WBG such as silicon carbide (SiC), gallium nitride (GaN), aluminium nitride (AlN), gallium oxide (Ga2O3), and diamond  

We collaborate with numerous domestic companies and research institutes, as well as distinguished international partners across Asia, Europe, and the United States, collaboratively propelling scientific innovation and technological advancements.

SNDL은 반도체 분야의 미래를 선도하는 인재를 양성하는데 앞장서고자, 다음을 포함하는 첨단 소재-소자-회로 연계 연구를 수행하고 있습니다.

*WBG 반도체는 silicon carbide (SiC), gallium nitride (GaN), aluminium nitride (AlN), gallium oxide (Ga2O3)와  diamond 등의 반도체 소재를 의미함.

또한, SNDL은 국내외 WBG분야 주요 기업 및 연구소와 긴밀한 협력을 통해서도 해당 분야에서 선도적인 역할을 하고 있습니다. 국내를 포함하여, 아시아, 유럽, 미국 등의 세계적인 리딩 파트너들과 지식과 경험을 공유하며, 연구원 및 학생들을 최상의 글로벌 협력 환경에서 직접 경험을 쌓고 잠재력을 최대한 발휘하며 성장할 수 있도록 지원하고 있습니다.

SNDL 연구실에서 대학원생 및 연구원을 모집합니다. 자세한 사항은 아래 내용을 참조하여주시기 바랍니다.

SNDL Lab is currently seeking new graduate students and research fellows.  Please refer to the following details for more information.


1) 대학원생 (석사, 석박통합 및 박사과정):

Graduate Students (master's, integrated master's and doctoral, and doctoral programs):

   - SiC 파워반도체 설계 및 분석   

         SiC Power Semiconductor Design and Analysis

   - 고에너지갭 소자 공정 및 측정 

         Wide Bandgap (WBG) Device Processing and Characterization

SNDL 대학원생에게는 국내 해당분야 최고 수준의 장학금/인건비/연구활동을 지원하며, 정부연구과제 및 다양한 산학, 산연 협력연구(기업 및 출연 연구소) 기회가 주어지게 됩니다. 또한 해외 리딩 기관과의 협력연구 및 현지 파견 연구 기회를 제공하고 있습니다.

Selected candidates will have opportunities to participate in government research projects and various industry-academia or industry-research institute collaborations. Our graduate students will receive the highest level of scholarships, salaries, and research support in this field. Additionally, we offer opportunities for cooperative research missions with international institutions.

 (이력에 따라 심사후 온세미 산학장학생으로 선발 가능하며,  정부연구과제 참여 혜택 등 일반적인 기회에 더하여,  교수님의 지도하에 온세미 컨덕터로 부터의 추가적인 장학 기회을 받을 수 있고 고용연계를 전제로 학위과정 수행이 가능합니다)

OnSemi Industry-Academia Cooperative Scholarship Students (Integrated Master's and Doctoral Programs, or Doctoral Program; Candidates may be selected for the OnSemi industry-academia cooperative scholarship program based on their credentials. In addition to participating in government research projects, these students may also have additional scholarship opportunities and employment opportunities with OnSemi Inc. under the guidance of Prof. Koo.)
