How will I have goals by planning for my future?

At Redcliffe students are well supported in planning for their future.

Students have regular tutorials with their tutor to discuss progression options, as well as support in Y12 Core lessons, extended tutor sessions, opportunities to attend talks from universities and workplaces, and visits to Birmingham and Oxford universities. We also have a career's adviser who meets one-to-one with students.

A really useful source of support is the SMRT Progression Website which provides information on the opportunities available after 6th Form including University, Apprenticeship, Art Foundation and GAP years: https://sites.google.com/site/smrtprogression2/home-2

This section of the school website also offers lot of information and advice:https://www.smrt.bristol.sch.uk/index.php/sixth-form/careers-and-he-research

The Success at School website have put together a guide to help parents and carers take a positive role in their young person’s career journey. It covers all the basics – from university, apprenticeships and other pathways into work, to work experience and employability skills. It outlines job roles linked to each major school subject as well as exploring the jobs of the future. Read the guide here.
