In February, members of the (local) Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc. (SCA) group told us about their hobby. As a history club, SCA members explore many aspects of life in the Middle Ages, including combat, archery, fiber arts, calligraphy, illumination, costuming, cooking, and leather working. Any aspect of the Middle Ages and Renaissance is fair game for research and -- potentially -- hands on crafting.
