Parking Alert:

Unfortunately, until late in 2027, the Lied Center for Performing Arts expansion project, “Building the Future” at 12th & R streets, can, depending on scheduling conflicts with our readings and the size of the Lied's audience that night, impact at The Lion's access to parking at 13th & R streets on those evenings when our schedules conflict. When in force, their Valet Parking, eats up much public parking on R street and UNL's Lot 10 next to the church.

- Larson Building and Garage is in the tallest building in background, with apartments on the top floors.

NOTE that our doors open at 5:30 PM, and programs begin at 6 PM:

on the second Friday of each month. for Poetry Readings,
and the fourth Friday of each month for Potluck Possibilities.

Parking

For NON-students, the best parking options are:

[Click for more info] On-street metered parking: is FREE 😀 after 6 PM.

Before that, incremental pricing is 3 minutes for 5¢, 10¢ minutes for 6 minutes, and 25¢ minutes 12 minutes. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express credit cards are accepted.

[Click for more info] Metered parking in the UNL parking lot F10, to the East of St. Mark's Episcopal Church on Campus is FREE 😀 after 7:30 PM. Do not use non-metered parking spots, as they are reserved for UNL people with permits 24/7.

Before that, there is a maximum time limit of 30 minutes to 4 hours; meters accept crdit cards or coins.

[Click for more info] City Parking Garages ("Park & Go). The FIRST HOUR is FREE 😀; after that, it costs $1.50/hour for each additional hour, with a daily max of $13.50. The closest Park & Go garages are:
