The Lion is a venue for various activities (poetry readings & potlucks at present) by St. Mark's on Campus for the Downtown Lincoln & UNL communities. While St. Mark's is a church, this (at The Lion) is about our neighbors, not religion.

Welcome to "at The Lion" -- a community interaction venue between St. Mark's and the community.
at The Lion is open each second Friday of the month for Poetry at The Lion; and each fourth Friday of the month for Potluck at The Lion.
Doors open at 5 PM, the relevant activities begin at 6 PM, and the doors close at 8 PM.
Admission is FREE
&
Refreshments are FREE!
No one will approach you about participation in the church --
you will only be treated as a neighbor.

At the bottom of this page you will see a map to our location at 1309 R street, Lincoln, NE, at St. Mark's On the Campus Episcopal Church -- the one with the sculpture of the Lion in the courtyard the Lion being the heraldic figure for the city of Venice, which embraced St. Mark the Evangelist as its Patron Saint.

AgainL the venue opens its doors at 5:30 pm on the 2nd Friday of each month. Readings are from 6 pm to 7:30 pm, and the doors close promptly at at 8:00 pm.
Free light refreshments are provided. Patrons may brown-bag.
You may call St. Mark’s on the Campus Episcopal Church if you have questions about times and dates for the venue at 402-474-1979 during office hours: Monday or Tuesday through Thursday, 11 am to 2 pm. Your best option is to visit this website for such information.
