Center-sponsored virtual events bring you up close and personal with experts, policymakers, and other special guests to discuss the issues that shape your world.
The Georgia Council on Economic Education offers workshops that provide K-12 teachers economics and personal finance content and creative ways to teach it. For most non-virtual workshops, there are no registration fees, lesson materials are included, lunch is provided, and substitute reimbursement is offered.
We use Zoom as our virtual workshop platform.
To help Georgia teachers during this time of remote learning, Georgia Virtual Learning will be conducting live webinars focused on using Georgia Virtual School course content. Each webinar will focus on a course within the shared resources area of our website. Georgia Virtual School teachers will be leading the webinar with opportunities for Q&A after the presentations. The webinar recordings will be archived for future viewing. Information about accessing the resources and the recordings will be available during/after the webinar.

NCHE offers live, interactive professional development webinars FREE of charge through grants from the Library of Congress Teaching with Primary Sources program and the U.S. Department of Education. Registered participants will receive primary sources/educational materials as pre-readings.

NCSS engages and supports educators in strengthening and advocating social studies. Explore the history and lessons of World War II virtually with no special technology needed! Teachers can gain access to live and interactive programs and share with students right in their own classrooms.
Each of our document-based webinars consists of a conversation about critical questions between two scholars and a moderator. The live audience participates by posing questions through a chat function. The discussion is rooted in a set of primary documents published on this site in advance of each program.
While designed for secondary school social studies teachers, Webinars are open to students and the public as well.
