Our knowledge of the many life-forms on Earth - of animals, plants, fungi, protists and bacteria - is scattered around the world in books, journals, databases, websites, specimen collections, and in the minds of people everywhere. Imagine what it would mean if this information could be gathered together and made available to everyone – anywhere – at a moment’s notice. This dream is becoming a reality through the Encyclopedia of Life.
GotBooks.miracosta.edu is a website (under development) intended to host zero-cost, open-source textbooks and materials related to geology and oceanography classes.
Check back as website materials may be added or revised.

GSTA has been curating a list of GSTA Recommends resources that support 3-D science teaching which incorporates the science and engineering practices, crosscutting concepts, and content core ideas in the Georgia Standards of Excellence.
Resources for instructors include information for running biotechnology programs, teaching tools, finding equipment, and ready-to-go teaching tools. Other resources, such as presentations and video interviews share perspectives and practical how-to's for work and communications.
We’re miniPCR bio™
We make tools for scientists. Whether you are holding a micropipette for the first time or defining the cutting edge of research, doing science requires high quality innovative solutions. From classrooms to the International Space Station, our team of molecular biologists, engineers, designers, and educators is dedicated to the mission of making science accessible to everyone, everywhere.
NASA offers petabytes of global Earth science data collected from satellites but accessing these data in a traditional (or virtual) science classroom can be tricky. Since 2004, My NASA Data has supported students and teachers of grades 3-12 in analyzing and interpreting NASA mission data.
NSTA Instructional Materials are sensemaking tasks teachers and parents can use to engage their students in authentic, relevant science learning.
Education resources are distributed across many websites and program offices at NOAA and partner websites. This portal is designed to help you access these resources from one location. Materials are organized by themes aligned with common teaching topics.
Use the portal to search and download real-time data; search historical data; compare datasets from different stations; generate and share custom data views (how to coming soon!); access metadata for SECOORA stations; and access to regional and sub-regional models, including coastal circulation, water quality and fisheries habitat models.
StoryCorps’ mission is to preserve and share humanity’s stories in order to build connections between people and create a more just and compassionate world.
We do this to remind one another of our shared humanity, to strengthen and build the connections between people, to teach the value of listening, and to weave into the fabric of our culture the understanding that everyone’s story matters. At the same time, we are creating an invaluable archive for future generations.
SEPUP (The Science Education for Public Understanding Program) creates innovative science curriculum for use in 6-12 education. Issue-oriented science forms the core of SEPUP's curriculum materials. Every unit uses personal and societal issues to provide thematic continuity for student investigations and observations. SEPUP is part of UC Berkeley's Lawrence Hall of Science. Our materials are exclusively distributed by Lab-Aids.
TimeTree is a public knowledge-base for information on the tree-of-life and its evolutionary timescale.
Librarian experts have created these pages to help you find resources and services by subject, course and topic at UC Berkeley.
Understanding Evolution is a non-commercial, education website, teaching the science and history of evolutionary biology. This site is here to help you understand what evolution is, how it works, how it factors into your life, how research in evolutionary biology is performed, and how ideas in this area have changed over time.
We've assembled a variety of resources to help you increase student understanding of nature and process of science.
