The Catholic Society of St. Michael’s Institution had the great privilege of hosting a solemn Mass in conjunction with the Perjalanan Salib Malaysia on 24th September 2025. This special occasion was graced by Rev. Fr. Aloysius Tan, the Parish Priest of St. Michael’s Church, Ipoh, who presided over the Eucharistic celebration. We are especially grateful to him and to the parish community for their generosity in lending us the ‘Salib’ Cross. This cross, which has been traveling across Malaysia as part of the Perjalanan Salib, stands as a powerful symbol of Christ’s sacrifice and a visible reminder of our call to unity, discipleship, and faith-filled living. Its presence at St. Michael’s Institution was a true blessing, filling our hearts with reverence and drawing us deeper into reflection on our shared Christian journey.
The Mass was attended by all Christian and Catholic students of St. Michael’s Institution, who came together in faith to participate fully in this sacred celebration. Through prayer, song, and reflection, our school community experienced a profound moment of grace and togetherness. It was not merely a school event, but a truly spiritual encounter with Christ through the Cross, inspiring us to strengthen our commitment as followers of Christ and to live out His love in our daily lives. The Catholic Society of St. Michael’s Institution extends its heartfelt gratitude to Rev. Fr. Aloysius Tan and the parish of St. Michael’s Church, Ipoh, for their guidance, generosity, and support in making this momentous occasion possible. This celebration will be remembered as a milestone in our spiritual journey, uniting us as one body of Christ under the sign of the Cross.
