When I first got Lucy, I realized what an amazing, intelligent, loving dog she is. I decided I wanted to share this breed with other individuals. After doing a Embark DNA and health test, I discovered Lucy was a Miniature Schnauzer and a Poodle mix, which makes her a Schnoodle. Her stud, Ryker and Lucy had 4 litters. Ryker is 100% Miniature Schnauzer, who I later purchased and is now known as "Ricky" and lives with me.
Before breeding Lucy, I needed to learn as much as I could about Schnoodles as I am what is considered a novice or hobby breeder. I learned both Miniature Schnauzers and Poodles are considered hypo-allergenic and non-shedding. They also make great pets for all ages, are absolutely adorable, loyal, intelligent and have quirky personalities. Whether you live in the city or have room to run, these dogs will do well with someone that can provide them with moderate exercise and then afterwards, cuddle up with you on the couch.
Although I still consider myself a novice/hobby breeder, I am passionate about raising healthy puppies. Both Lucy and Ricky with me and their puppies are birthed and cared for 24/7 in my home where they are safely monitored in a clean and healthy environment.
Did you know: The Miniature Schnauzer is a German breed of small dog of Schnauzer type whose lineage goes back to at least the 15th century. Old-time German farmers bred the Schnauzers to work as fearless barnyard ratters. They are described as "spunky" but aloof dogs, with good guarding tendencies without some guard dogs' predisposition to bite. It is the most popular Schnauzer breed, and remains one of the most popular worldwide, primarily for its temperament and relatively small size. As of 2022, it is the 17th most popular breed in the U.S. Studies show that the schnauzer breed has a life expectancy of 13-15 years.

Some cynologists or canine experts believe the Poodle originated in France, where it is known as the "Caniche/Poodle" and the breed descends from the Barbet (which is a French water dog). Their iconic shaved-and-fluffy clip was designed for function, reducing drag in the water while keeping vital organs and joints warm. Poodles are active and intelligent, and are particularly able to learn from humans. Poodles tend to live 10-18 years, with smaller varieties tending to live longer than the larger ones. As of 2012, Poodles have been considered third most popular registered breed world-wide. The Poodle all ranks number 2 overall in working and obedience intelligence.

Then one day, my boyfriend Steve said to me, "You know what, Lucy is so smart and she reminds me of Albert Einstein, with her furry eyebrows and her crazy wild hair and mustache." When he said this to me, a 💡 light bulb came on, and I said to him, "that's it! I know what I want to call my website". I created a logo to resemble Albert Einstein and superimposed a caricature of a Schnauzer's face over it, and TA-DA, that is where my website name came about.

Breeding is a major responsibility and a passion for us. It's a lifestyle choice that we have made, and we are willing to devote and sacrifice our time to. To us, a dog is never "just a pet". They are our legacy, our "grandpuppies"; a little boy's best friend; a little girl's protector; an elderly person's therapy or cuddle partner, your furever companion, and of course, a member of your family!
