About the Roadmaps Institute Logo and Name

The "road" in the logo symbolizes the journey ahead for managers striving for world-class best practices. "World-class" itself is symbolized by the globe above as the dot on the "i." The red "r" is symbolic of Raytheon's red capital R. Raytheon was the client that helped found the Roadmaps Institute.

"Roadmaps" are an analogy commonly used for business plans. RI helps companies develop improvement projects that are networked together and look a bit like a actual road map.

"Institute" is the type of organization because it is designed to not generate profits in and of itself. RI is meant to be a neutral "Paradigm Integrator" of best practices in management and methods to implement best practices with "Project Portfolios" developed independently and will "Value Chain" alliances. Lots of buzz words in there! In any case, third party consulting and training companies are licensed to deliver the Roadmaps Institute's methodologies.

I own the only consulting business legally delivering RI Programs at this time. My company is called Roadmaps Consulting. Someday I hope there are many such consultancies in Asia, Europe, and well everywhere! It is important to build the business models right from the start so others can become part of it in the future!
