3 Credit Core Course for Masters with practicals
The Advanced Cell Biology course offers an in-depth exploration of cellular structures and functions, covering critical topics such as membrane organization, intracellular transport mechanisms, and the roles of the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus. Students study protein folding, cytoskeletal components, and bioenergetics involving mitochondria and chloroplasts. The syllabus also includes cell signaling, the eukaryotic cell cycle, and various forms of cell death, alongside interactions between cells and their environment. The practical component allows students to visualize cellular organelles using fluorescent labeling, plasmid DNA transfection, analyze cell cycle progression through FACS, conduct tissue histology studies through H&E staining and so on.
3 Credit Core Course for Masters with practicals
