Homework For the Week of: December 2nd
December Learning Mat: Week 2 Due - Friday December 5th
For the learning mat, students should complete one Math and one ELA activity each day. Additionally, they are asked to complete 3 activities from the Tic-Tac-Toe board.
Please turn in your completed Learning Mat each Friday. You can send in the work that you completed as well or just the Learning Mat either way is fine.
All in One Mat:
Have your child practice reading the All In One Mat. In the first row have your child identify each letter and sound it makes. Have your child practice reading the words and the sentences in the other rows. Continue to practice this page until the words and sentence are read fluently and with ease.
High Frequency Words For the Week: 👀
look
ran
run
red
let
Have your child practice these words at home each night. We will practice them in school, as well. Please keep these words in a safe place and have your child practice them frequently. On Friday, your child will be asked to read the words to a teacher.
📚Story of the Week: Run, Mack
Have your child read the passage or mini book aloud each night. We encourage you to listen to your child read the book and allow them to try to sound out the words on their own. After reading the book, have them tell you about what they read. If using the mini book format, there are comprehension questions you can ask your child found on the last page. The students will read the story to a teacher on Friday.

Directions on How to Upload Flat Buddy to Your Child's Portfolio Section in Class Dojo
Dear Kindergarten Family,
Attached is our class pet, “Flat” Buddy the Bear. During your child’s Star Student week, your child and Buddy will be able to have many fun adventures together!
Please help your child document their time with Buddy by using the Portfolio section of your child’s Class Dojo profile. Many students enjoy posting photos or videos of their time with Buddy, but your child may also chose to write a journal entry or draw a picture of their time with Buddy It’s up to you and your child! Be as creative as you would like with Buddy.
To access your child’s Class Dojo portfolio follow the steps below:
· Download the Class Dojo App if you haven’t already done so.
· Scan the QR code on the next page. This will take you to your child’s profile page.
· Scroll down to the section called “My Portfolio”
· Click on “Create new” in purple letters.
· Choose the method(s) you wish to use to share - Journal, Photo, Video, or Drawing.
o Journal will allow your child to write or talk about their adventures. They may also include a voice recording, photo or video, or drawing. Click the purple send button in the right-hand corner when finished.
o Photo allows your child to take a photo or select a photo from the camera roll. Click the purple send button in the right-hand corner when finished. Only one photo can be uploaded at a time, so if your child would like to share multiple photos, they will have to make separate posts.
o Video allows your child to record a video or select a video from the camera roll. Click the purple send button in the top right-hand corner when finished. Like Photo, only one video can be uploaded at a time. Your child may share multiple videos if desired.
o Drawing allows your child to use drawing tools to share about their adventures with Buddy. After your child creates his/her drawing, click the yellow check mark, then the purple send button in the top right-hand corner.
· Students may chose more than one method to share and may create multiple posts to thoroughly share their adventures with Buddy.
We will share your child’s portfolio post on the Friday of his/her Star Student Week.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
