6th Grade Reminders:

Wednesday Gym Students:  Mrs. Potter asked us to remind you that you will be reporting to the chapel for Gym Class.

Parents, you should have received this year's Fun Run registration link- SK across the USA. We will no longer have an individual page per student; they are family pages. This year our goal is to raise $200 per family.  And to make it more fun- we'd love to get donations from all 50 states.

Monday's activities:  6-2 and 6-3:  You worked with a group to summarize Chapters 1-5.  We also watched the IXL Video on summarizing for background, problem, and solution.  We completed Monday's IXL and checked pages 7&8.  6-1, we didn't meet on Friday due to Father Bober Bingo, so you were making quiz corrections for the last A Night Divided test.  You were also finishing last week's DLA and finishing last week's Percy Jackson trifold #1.

Previous Week of 4/27

Weekly Homework:  NO IXL THIS WEEK, unless it is assigned as part of our normal class activities.  Parent permission page was due last week for Percy Jackson.  If I haven't received it, I am assuming that your parent is purchasing the book for you.  Bring the book to school daily.  If you want, I still have your bag to protect your book from your backpack.

No assigned homework (aside from reading Percy Jackson) is planned for this week, but if you don't complete our in-class activities, you are expected to catch up in the evening.

Friday:  Today, we made quiz corrections to our last A Night Divided test.  We completed our Friday DLA and turned this in.  We were to complete the exercises on Subject Complements and finish this week's Percy Jackson.  There was a bonus opportunity if all other work was completed.  (Due to Bingo and IOWA scheduling, 6-1, we did not have class today.  6-2, you were only in class for 20.  6-3, you had the honor of being in ELA for 2 periods.  You should be ahead of the other classes.)

Thursday:  Today, we completed Thursday's DLA.  We also watched an EdPuzzle on Subject Complements, checked our Indirect Object answers, wrote down the Complement graphic organizer in our composition book, and used the remaining time for Percy Jackson.

Wednesday:  Today, we completed Wednesday's DLA.  We also completed Grammar exercise 5 for indirect objects.  Some classes were longer than others, so we had time to use for a Percy Jackson work session.

Tuesday:  Today, we completed Tuesday's DLA.  We also completed Grammar exercises 3 and 4.  6-1, we completed the 5 vocabulary words in our composition notebook, writing the part of speech and the definition under each flap.  The words may have multiple definitions, so compare the definition to the word in the book.  If any of this wasn't completed, it is homework.

6-3 Monday:  We had the most time together today, so we accomplished everything on our "to-do" list.  I introduced Reading Tracker, Vocabulary.com complementing IXL Vocabulary for Percy Jackson, and Trifold for Chapters 1-6 (Due beginning of next week). We took time to complete Monday's DLA and 5 vocabulary words for Chapters 1-5.  We glued these into our composition notebook and wrote the definitions and parts of speech for these five words.  We also were given time to read Percy Jackson and answer some of the trifold questions.  Finally, we learned our grammar lesson on complements and completed exercises 1 and 2.

6-2 Monday:  We had the second most time together today, so we accomplished almost everything on our "to-do" list. Finally, we learned our grammar lesson on complements and completed exercise 1.

6-1 Monday:  We had the least amount of time together today, so we accomplished only some of our "to-do" list.  I introduced Reading Tracker and Trifold for Chapters 1-6 (Due beginning of next week).  We completed our DLA.  We talked about our Reading Tracker.  We also were given some time to read Percy Jackson.
