Service Project:
Hello 5th Grade Families,
Each year our students at SKCS perform a service project. This year, the 5th graders will be supporting a local animal shelter, Orphans of the Storm, located in Kittanning, PA. here is the link to their new website: https://www.orphansofthestorm-pa.org/donate
We need newspapers! Students will be spending an afternoon preparing
newspapers for volunteers to use to line the animal enclosures. We are also collecting wish list items from the list below. All donations of dog and cat supplies are appreciated.
The shelter also has a wish list on Chewy and Amazon that can be sent directly to the shelter.
Here is the link to the amazon wish list: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/B4C2M07JI1RR/ref=hz_ls_biz_ex?pldnSite=1
Here is the link to the chewy wish list: https://www.chewy.com/g/orphans-of-the-storm_b87292865
Donations will be collected from April 7th-April 16th. Donations can be brought to school with students and delivered to their homerooms. Donations that are too large to send in with students can be left in the collection area by the front desk.
The Teachers will then deliver the supplies to Orphans of the Storm.
Thank you for your support!
Sincerely,
The 5th Grade Students and Teachers
