At 1st level, you gain proficiency in firearms.
When you are given the option to choose a fighting style, you may additionally choose from the following:
Firearms. You gain proficiency with firearms, and gain a +1 to attack and damage rolls on attacks made with firearms.
Shortarms. You gain proficiency with firearms, and being within 5 feet of a hostile creature doesn’t impose disadvantage on your ranged attack rolls made using firearms.
Shield Fighter. Shields you have equipped can be used as martial melee weapons. When you attack with a shield this way, it has a damage of 1d6 bludgeoning damage, and gains the "Versatile (1d8)" property.
