This course aims to introduce Senior High School Students to the trends reflected in this century's literature, both in the local and global context.
What are the predominant issues and themes in the literature of the last 19 years? What major events have shaped our current narratives? Are there new forms of writing and storytelling that have emerged as a result of recent technological developments (especially in media and print)?
Through a mixture of lectures, readings, videos, and discussions, we will attempt to answer these questions (and more) throughout the course.
