Potluck!
Sitka Community gardens Assoc. is hosting an all member potluck on Earth Day, April 22. 6pm at the See House, 611 Lincoln St.
Bring a dish to share. We’ll supply some hot and cold beverages. This will be a fun opportunity to continue to get to know each other and have lingering questions answered. A highlight of the event will be a short presentation or mini workshop led by a recent graduate of the Alaska Master Gardeners class offered this past winter by UAF Extension Service (Topic TBD). Thanks to Jasmine Shaw and Brian McNitt, SCGA board and steering committee members for planning this event!
We expect to schedule potluck get togethers periodically as community building and sharing opportunities that will also include a short presentation or workshop component. Let us know if there’s a special topic you’d like to have covered. Our potlucks are open to the public — anyone interested in learning more about the garden is welcome. Invite friends and family members, too!
Contact Barb at 907-738-3557 with any questions. Hope to see you next Wednesday, 4/22, Earth Day!
Snow is finally melting and gardeners are showing up!
