Sister Lara's Global Ebooks
In today's time together I was blessed to meet in our Sunday Bible Study We started out with our foundation Scripture from the Book of 2 Chronicles 15:8 which says, "And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the LORD, that was before the porch of the LORD."
If you missed part 1 and part 2 we pray you enjoy these notes that was put together for you.
From the Book of Genesis 15, we learned about the early life of Abram from the Book of Genesis why the altar needs to be reformed. Abram had a promise from the LORD that he would be the father of many nations, yet it appeared in his life that he never would. The LORD told Abram to go out and look to the stars, and count them, for so shall the seed of Abram be. Like Abram, we often say to the LORD, "How will I know? How will I inherit your promise?" Seemingly, Abram went through a lot up to this time. Abram left his land and most his family looking for a land that the LORD would show him. Abram had a vision of the LORD appear to him, in Genesis 12:7, and came out of Egypt with so much goods that the land was not able to hold him. However, Abram missed one thing. That one thing would be "Where was his seed? Where was his son that the LORD promised him he would have?"
Like Abram, we all go through this in our lives. We have much but we look for the one thing that means the most to us to come to pass, and seemingly it never does.
Then, the LORD told Abram how his seed would come, which would be out of himself. This illustration is a picture of the kingdom of God within us. Learning to bring out of us what is in us from the kingdom of God is what we all want. However, how is this done?
Abram had visitations of the LORD. Abram spoke to the LORD and was given a personal revelation of Melchizedek. At the same time, Abram had such great wealth that the land could not hold it. Yet, there was one thing Abram lacked and that was the promise of the LORD in his life.
Some say that Abram did not have enough faith at the time to "Call things out that are not as though they were." Yet, "What was the one thing Abram needed? What was Abram missing?" Abram needed assurance as he said to the LORD, "How will I know that I will get what you said?" [Genesis 15:8]
This is what I believe we all need. We need to learn skill to reform the Altar of the LORD. The LORD told Abram in Genesis 15:9, "Take me an heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon." [verse 10] "And he took unto him all these, and divided them in the midst, and laid each piece one against another: but the birds divided he not."
Abram lacked the revelation and skill of what the altar of the LORD was. Even though these Sacrifices are taught they are no longer relevant since Christ Jesus on the cross, we still see the Spirit of these around the Throne in the Book of Revelation mentioned in the 7 Spirits of God. Daniel saw these, along with Ezekiel. They are important because these represent what Jesus became in His life. [**See chat notes]
Gen 15:17,18 - And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces. In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying,Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates.
Abram learned how to make a Covenant with the LORD through the Sacrifices that spoke of what Christ Jesus would become. Abraham would lay upon the Sacrifices the desires of his heart and it would be the Father's righteousness [the LIGHT in the lamp] burning in the Lamp [who is Christ Jesus.]
As the Father walked through these, with His Covenant plan through Christ Jesus, it would be the resurrection of the Seven Spirit's of God that be witnesses and judgments of the Covenant that was made. It would be the activity of the Throne of God with the living creatures that represented the seven Spirits of God that would a witness of Blood Covenant, and the judgments of God that would become as one on earth as it is in heaven. Hallelujah!
