Programme Details
The program is intended to provide detailed knowledge of machineries and processes involved in fiber to yarn, yarn to fabric and subsequently fabric to garment conversion. In addition to the conventional processes, the latest innovative and specialty textiles (Technical Textiles and Nonwovens) are also taught in this program. The Faculties trains students suitably in accordance with the changing demands of textile mills due to the development in manufacturing techniques and installation of modern machines in the industry. The Department also regularly arranges Expert Talks by Inviting Leading Textile Professionals and also conducts Industrial Visits in nearby Industries, intended to improve the knowledge and understanding of the latest Textile machineries and process.
The Final Semester students are allowed to undergo mandatory 16 weeks of In plant Industrial Training in Leading Textile Industries such as Aditya Birla (Grasim Industries) Veraval, Arvind Mills Ltd. Ahmedabad, Balaji Fabrics (Donear Mill) Surat, Ahlstrom Munksjo Fiber composites India Pvt. Ltd. Kutch, KTEX Nonwovens Pvt. Ltd. Jamnagar, Kush Synthetics Pvt. Ltd. Kutch, Mafatlal Nadiad. The training is intended to bridge the gap between academia and industry practice. The training program yields better employment opportunities for our students.
After successful completion of the training program, many companies readily offer job positions to the skilled, desirable and hardworking students as Diploma Engineer Trainee (DET). The Salary structure ranges from 1.2 – 2.8 Lacs/Annum.
Interested and meritorious students may also opt for Higher Education (B.E. in Textile Technology or B.E. in Textile Engineering) in reputed Government Institutes such as The M.S. University of Baroda and L.D. College of Engineering Ahmedabad.
