PSO1: To enable the students to develop production drawings and solid models utilizing CAD software
PSO2: To develop ability to plan and supervise fabrication of different process equipment by adopting appropriate methods considering fabrication standards, codes and safety norms.
Programme Details
In today’s competitive technological environment an increasing number of industries deal with mechanical issues. This means more sophisticated skills are in demand and personnel require a thorough understanding of current theory and practice to meet these needs. This program is design to provide a rigorous education in Mechanical Engineering. The program provides essential theory in operational mechanical techniques and the students are encouraged to develop the strategies based on real and simulated aspects. Students develop an in-depth knowledge of both mechanical and production theory. The teaching learning process is enhanced by the use of student centered techniques including laboratory work, workshop practical and computer awareness. This ensures that students have maximum opportunities to sharpen their analytical and presentation skill. Pass out diploma student are able to:
1) Synthesize, integrate and evaluate current theory and practice.
2) Demonstrate the practical knowledge derived at the Institute and apply the concepts of Mechanical Engineering.
3) Enable the effective application of theoretical and conceptual tools to operational shop floor.
The laboratories are rich with modern equipments and instruments. Various types of water turbine and centrifugal pumps, latest metrology and inspection equipments which are required for day to day teaching are made available.
