This Privacy Policy explains how Status Saver & Downloader (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the App. By using the App, you agree to this policy.
a) Media files you save. The App reads WhatsApp status photos and videos on your device, with your permission, so you can view, save, and share them. These files are processed and stored on your device only. We do not upload them to our servers.
b) AI Caption Generator. When you use this feature, the text or options you enter [and any image you select, if applicable] are sent to [AI service provider, e.g., Google Gemini API] to generate captions. We do not use this content to identify you. We do not ask you to enter personal information in prompts, and we recommend you don’t.
c) Direct Chat. Phone numbers and messages you enter are used only to open a chat in WhatsApp on your device. [We do not send them to our servers.]
d) Information collected automatically by third-party services. Our advertising and analytics partners may collect:
Device or other identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID)
App activity (such as ad interactions and feature usage)
Approximate location derived from your IP address
Device and app information, and crash or diagnostic data
We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, precise location, or WhatsApp account data.

To show ads and measure ad performance
To generate AI captions you request
To maintain, secure, and improve the App, and fix crashes
The App uses third-party services that have their own privacy policies:

These providers may collect and process the data described in Section 2(d). We don’t control how they use it beyond the limits of their own policies.
We do not sell your personal information. Data described in Section 2(d) is shared with our advertising and analytics partners to serve ads and operate the App. We may also disclose information if required by law.
The App requests only the access it needs to read WhatsApp status files and save media to your device. You can revoke permissions at any time in your device settings, though the status-saving feature may stop working.
You can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of ads personalization, in Android Settings > Privacy > Ads.
Where required (for example, in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), the App asks for your consent before showing personalized ads, and you can change your choice later in the App if the option is available.
Saved status files stay on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App. Data held by third-party services is kept under their own retention policies. [We do not store AI prompts on our servers.]
Data sent from the App to third-party services is encrypted in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will take steps to remove it.
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, or to object to certain processing. Since we do not keep personal data on our own servers, most requests can be handled through your device and ad settings. For anything else, contact us at the email below.
The App is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by WhatsApp or Meta Platforms, Inc. WhatsApp is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc.
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted at this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the App means you accept the changes.
