the romance in this particular film is massive between conor and raphina throughout the entireity of the movie raphina seems to be teasing conor and it does infact work out for him in the end

this movie shows a massive theme of identity and self discovery as the power of the music is always shown and the music in my opinion helps Conor discover himself and find his own place in the world.

Friendship

Conor's relationship with his friends band members is one of the most significant sources of friendship. The group of misfit boys who band together to play music with him are not just musicians, but also his friends who experience the struggles alongside him and aid him in discovering his sense of self. As a group, they manage to create something wonderful with very little in terms of resources or expertise. Their relationship represents young rebellion and the thrill of creating something together.
