This is one of the film’s best musical moments. Conor and the band perform this song, the best song yet, this moment is very important as this is the first time the band outwardly display their music. 

Conor meets Raphina, a beautiful model, at the local bus stop and decides to ask her to be in his band’s music video. This moment is important because it starts the creation of the band and Conor's deeper interest in music. 

Conor’s family life is shown to be very bad. His parents are going through a tough time, and his home life is tense. One powerful scene is when Conor’s father, Robert, delivers a mean and harsh response when Conor tries to talk to him about his troubles. This makes Conor very upset and in my opinion adds to his musical skill.
