EXPECTATIONS
MEMBERSHIP IS MORE THAN PAYING DUES
Being a member of the Sin City F.O.O.L.S. means representing something bigger than yourself. We aren't looking for members who simply want another patch or membership card. We want firefighters who believe in what we're building and are willing to contribute to it.
PRIDE IN THE JOB
Take pride in being a firefighter. Respect the profession, honor its traditions, and never lose sight of why you started. Your attitude, work ethic, and actions should reflect the pride you have in the fire service.
LEAVE YOUR EGO BEHIND
There's no room for arrogance, entitlement, or superiority in this brotherhood. Whether you're a rookie or a chief, everyone deserves respect. Rank stays at the door. We come together as firefighters, all with something to offer.
NEVER STOP LEARNING
Stay hungry for knowledge. Ask questions, listen to different perspectives, and remain open to doing things differently. Experience doesn't mean you know everything, and being new doesn't mean you have nothing to contribute.
MAKE THOSE AROUND YOU BETTER
Don't just focus on your own growth. Share your knowledge, encourage others, and help the firefighters around you succeed. True leadership isn't about being the best person in the room, it's about making everyone in the room better.
BE INVOLVED
We encourage our members to participate in chapter meetings, training opportunities, events, and charitable initiatives. Show up when you can, contribute where you're able, and help move the chapter forward. A strong brotherhood is built by members who put in the effort.
RESPECT THE BROTHERHOOD
Support your fellow firefighters, regardless of department, rank, or experience. Treat others with respect, hold each other accountable, and address disagreements professionally. We can challenge each other without tearing each other down.
PRESERVE THE TRADITIONS
Understand the history of our profession and respect those who built it. Learn from the generations before us and take responsibility for passing that knowledge to those who come after us. The traditions of the fire service survive because firefighters care enough to carry them forward.
REPRESENT THE CHAPTER WITH INTEGRITY
Your actions reflect not only on yourself but on the Sin City F.O.O.L.S. and the fire service as a whole. Carry yourself with professionalism, honesty, humility, and respect, both on and off duty.
MEMBERSHIP REVOCATION
Membership in the Sin City F.O.O.L.S. is a privilege, not a right. The Chapter Executive Board reserves the right to suspend or revoke membership at any time for just cause, including violations of chapter or F.O.O.L.S. International regulations, conduct unbecoming of a F.O.O.L., or actions that go against the mission, values, and integrity of our brotherhood.
All disciplinary decisions will be subject to review by the Chapter Executive Board and handled in accordance with applicable governing documents.
We hold our members to a high standard. Anyone unwilling to uphold that standard may forfeit their place in the brotherhood.
