7: Evaluation

At the end of any statistical inquiry cycle (PPDAC) it is always good practice to reflect on the process.

This could include discussing any of the following:

• Does the simulation give enough accuracy to answer the question(s)?
• Does the simulation accurately simulate the real world situation (how realistic are the assumptions)?
• Were there any surprising or counter-intuitive results in the data?
• Does the analysis of the data show any unusual patterns?
• Is there a new question (a new Problem) that your investigation raises?

'Evaluation' at the end of the PPDAC cycle does not mean self-reflection. It is not telling the reader how much your learnt, or how long it took to generate all those random numbers, or how much you like apple gummy bears too.
