Taylor L. is an ex-boyfriend of Taylor S from the Speak Now era. Not much about their relationship is/was known, but media and paparazzi coverage had caught Taylor and Taylor on sets being very comfortable with each other. Taylor L. speaks fondly of Taylor S. to this day and even confirms during an interview that the song Back To December was written about him. Fun Fact: Shortly after Speak Now Taylor's Version was announced, Taylor L. was asked in an interview what he thought of the announcement. He said: "I feel good. I pray for John though." and followed that up shortly after with a TikTok of him getting on his knees to pray with Dear John playing in the background.
