Choose the page you have a question about to learn more.
The Home page gives you basic information about your subscription tier, lifetime sent, install date, and retrieves your Twilio balance.
The main action from the Home page is to click Start A Batch where you can set up your next batch send.
If you send a lot of messages and have at least a Pro account, there are times that not all of the statuses get updated on the Sent spreadsheet tab. Click Update Statuses at any time to remedy that.
From any page you can use the three dots in the top right corner to access the Settings or Account pages. Use the Documentation item to link directly to this website!
You've seen this page before! But now you can go for the gusto.
Batches can accommodate up to 250 messages per send. A full send (brah) will take less than 20 seconds on average.
SimpleText works everywhere in the world that Twilio works and Google supports. Be sure you have enough money in your Twilio account to cover the batch. Twilio pricing is listed here.
Each message can be up to 1600 characters in length. Each message segment is 160 characters, so that's up to 10 segments per message.
Validation will make sure that Twilio recognizes and can properly format every phone number. But that does not guarantee deliverability. Message statues will show the delivery result of every send (if you have at least a Pro account).
Another reminder - The information on the Send tab when you clicked Validate is saved in memory and is what will send. If you need to make changes, click Cancel, make the changes, and validate again.
Nice job! You sent out a message batch.
You will see your Sent messages in the Sent tab to the left (it will automatically navigate you there). The Sent messages add to the bottom of the sheet, so scroll to the bottom to see most recent ones.
If you have at least a Pro account, you will see the Delivery Status update here in column F. Sometimes the delivery status fails. Not to worry, just click Update Statuses to resolve the issue. That button is also available on the Home page.
When you are all done, click Go Home to go to the Home page.
The Settings page (left) is accessed by clicking on the three dots in the right corner and choosing Settings (right).
The Twilio section holds the credentials to access your Twilio account, should you ever need to change them.
The Add-On Settings section has your Webapp URL, should you ever need to change it (unlikely).
If you just upgraded, and need to set up your Webapp URL, you will see this image below:
Click the FIX IT link and then follow these instructions.
The SimpleText library version number is displayed below. On occasion this might need to be updated, and here are the instructions for that.
Incoming SMS produce an email notification by default. This can easily flood your inbox, so we recommend that you set up a filter detailed here instead of turning off this setting. But if you want to turn it off anyways, you can do so by simply unchecking this box.
Cancel will exit the page without applying any changes.
Apply will verify each item and save them all to your account. If any item does not pass verification (like Twilio credentials that don't work) then it will not let you save until the issue is resolved. That way you can never accidentally break a connection on your account.
The Account page (left) is accessed by clicking on the three dots in the right corner and choosing Account (right).
Here you can update your first name, last name, and company name.
In addition it will display your account email.
If you want to delete your account (permanently, irreversibly), then there is a red button to do so. That will take you to the Confirm Delete Account page.
Your subscription tier is shown, and clicking on that link will take you to the Upgrade page where you can change your tier.
The monthly usage is displayed here as well.
If you want to make any changes to your first name, last name, or company name, do so, and then click Update.
Clicking Cancel will exit the page without making any changes.
All done with SimpleText? That's OK, but we will miss you!
Before deleting your account, be aware:
This is permanent, and irreversible
You will lose access to your account even if you still have time left that you've paid for
All of your statistics will be lost
Want to just stop paying instead? Change your subscription to the Free plan.
If you really want to delete your account, enter in the email address that you signed up for SimpleText for and click Delete. That click is the final action to delete your account.
When you open this page, the radio button will have selected your current plan. Choose the plan you want to change to and click Submit.
You can see the plan features and pricing here.
Clicking Maybe Later will exit this page without making any changes.
From time to time, the library code needs to be updated to a new version. This one is a bit technical as well, but you are a pro at this point, so it's nbd.
Follow the step by step instructions below to update your version.
We hope that you never see this page, but if you do, it means that an error has occurred.
You can click Notify which will email the specific error to us (from your email). We will use those emails to try and improve the product.
Clicking back will exit the page with no notification. Try the same operation again and hopefully it will go through the next time. If it doesn't, wait a short while and try one more time. If it still doesn't work, then contact us.
