Answers To Your SimpleText Questions.
Without any hold time.
Twilio is a customer engagement platform used by hundreds of thousands of businesses and more than ten million developers worldwide to build unique, personalized experiences for their customers. For you, Twilio is a way to connect your spreadsheet in a way that text messages can be sent out from it.
Twilio is a different company and has its own fees. By connecting directly with Twilio, you avoid the middle man and any associated markup fees. SimpleText charges a straightforward, monthly fee based on usage tiers.
Due to some limitations of the Workspace Add-on environment, inbound messages are not able to produce a response in the format that Twilio needs to receive them in, so a warning message is generated. It won't affect you in any way except for the errors that will show in the console.
There is an active issue tracker on this subject. If you want to help fight the good fight, you can star that issue to let them know that it is affecting you.
The short answer is no, they probably will not. SimpleText sends batch requests to Twilio instead of sending them one by one. That's how we can make so much happen in such a short period of time!
Let's say we send 50 messages at a time to Twilio. All of those will be received by Twilio and will process in parallel. As such, Twilio will not wait until message 1 finishes before moving onto message 2. All 50 will be processing simultaneously.
Depending on your account, Twilio sends outbound messages at the rate of about 1 per second. So it can take some time for all of your messages to send and for the statuses to update, depending on your batch size.
Messaging services are not supported by SimpleText yet, but likely will in the near future. Do you want to help push that along? Please Contact Us and request that feature.
