On 22 March 2002, after a first edition on 8 December 2021, together with Steffen Lippert, I gave a lecture on Ethics, Integrity, and Combatting Corruption within the Public Policy Institute (PPI) at the University of Auckland. This lecture was part of a course on Public Sector Leadership in collaboration with the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) led by Jennifer Curtin and facilitated by Suzanne Woodward. The course targets government officials and civil servants from ASEAN countries and countries in the Pacific. We plan a repeat of this module later in May, so watch this space! On 13 December 2021 the new Comites NZ officially started its operations during a formal (virtual) meeting with the Italian Embassy in Wellington. I am now one of 12 members of the Comites NZ that will be in charge of the representation of Italians in NZ for the next 5 years. If you are an Italian living in NZ or thinking to move to NZ, even only for a short period of time, do get in touch with me. Happy to assist sharing my knowledge and expertise and experience on a variety of issues, accumulated while living in NZ since Sept 2007 with the rest of the Italian community. I hosted and facilitated the Inaugural Human Ethics Training Workshop for researchers (staff and students) in the Faculty of Business and Economics at The University of Auckland on 15 July 2021. This is the first event of a series we intend to offer across semesters, over time. I co-organised the 2019 Knowledge Research Theme Event held on Wednesday, 27 November 2019.
The event was hosted by the University of Auckland, Faculty of Science, and chaired by the Research Theme Leader, Steven Galbraith. The event consisted of a series of lightning talks by several Centre for Mathematical Social Science (CMSS) members presenting their research projects to faculty and postgraduate students from the Faculty of Science, followed by Q&As and drinks.
