Colony collapse disorder is the phenomenon that occurs when the majority of worker bees in a colony disappear due to an unknown factor and leave behind a queen, plenty of food, and a few nurse bees to care for the remaining immature bees.
Our project is raising awareness about the threat colony collapse holds for us and how we can help. We are encouraging people to help make their community more pollinator friendly. We hope that by making our communities more friendly to other pollinators such as solitary bees we can make up for the loss of bees due to colony collapse.
