About School

Our School was founded in 2001 and is one of the biggest high schools in the region, having 78 teachers and 1200 students aged from 13 to 18.

The school also offers students a wide variety of extra-curricular activities, projects and competitions according to their interests to involve them actively in the teaching learning process:

• drama and dance club run by certified trainers;

• sport teams in football, volleyball, basketball, athletics, handball and table tennis;

• a school choir with 25 students;

• visual arts, photography – course for taking and editing photos, and at the end of each year there is a school exhibition with students’ paintings and photographs.

The school is part of the network of Eco-schools, which aims to integrate environmental education into the Turkish education system. We have organized many recycling activities, garbage fashion, and tree planting and currently, students are collecting plastic bottles.

Our School is characterized by a robust commitment to environmental education and sustainability.With a focus on values deeply rooted in the soil,the organization offers a diverse range of activities and lessons that encompass Agriculture and Plant Science.These activities extend to an organic garden,a small farm,and the utilization of greenhouses for practical learning experiences.As an eco-labeled school,our school excels in fulfilling various criteria that underline its dedication to preserving nature,the environment,and its immediate surroundings.A strong emphasis on environmental awareness is evident in the active participation of both students and teachers in recycling initiatives,garbage fashion,tree planting,and plastic bottle collection projects.The organization's involvement in international collaborations,including Erasmus+projects like "Green energy for a green planet" and "Zero Waste,"underscores its commitment to addressing pressing environmental issues on a global scale.

The Profile of the Learners,

We have a Project team in our school involving both students and teachers and we call both of them learners who work together on a project to achieve its objectives. Our project team carries out the day-to-day technical work of the project. We produce the project's deliverables. We are responsible for carrying out the tasks that are assigned in the Project form. We are about 25 people on this team from 13 to 45 ages. All of them are experts in their fields and always join the ongoing training and follow and implement new approaches and methods in teaching. They are experts in the subject. They are present in the classroom, possess leadership skills, and can earn the respect of students. They have excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students. They also work well with people from a wide range of backgrounds and have patience and a good sense of humor. They are all ready to participate in national and international organizations.
