Note that staff positions are like any other regular Sigma member and are particularly vested in the game and the community. Therefore, Unit staff are held to a higher standard in terms of how they carry themselves in our Sigma communication platforms and our servers.
Promotions may not be linear from the highest pay grade (Advisor). Promotions to staff are based on suitability i.e. skills and characteristic required at the time of staff applications. Unit staff are expected ensure the smooth operations of the group and are expected to be more active than Senior and Junior rates.
Director:
The Director is responsible for the well being of the unit as a whole.
They carry the authority to direct all unit matters; only one Director may exist at a time, and they are the senior-most leadership within the unit.
Executive:
Executives are tasked as the executors and ambassadors of the Director.
They are expected to make decisions when the Director is absent and advise the Director on all matters.
Manager:
Managers are responsible for maintaining the culture and atmosphere of the unit.
They are tasked with handling issues escalated from Coordinators as well as handling member bans and any other administrative actions.
Coordinator:
Coordinators are responsible for mentorship and development of junior members, as well as the moderation of our communication platforms and servers.
They are responsible for promotions, demotions, discipline up to kicks, and handling member feedback.
Advisor:
Advisors are pioneers of the unit.
They hold a SME certification in at least one area and can effectively lead up to five teams in an operation.
They are expected to instruct in their field of expertise, as well as teach Specialists and below how to better lead teams.
Perks:
Specialist:
Specialists are our most proficient combat leaders.
They are senior mentors that can competently lead three to four teams in an operation.
They are also expected to shadow junior leaders and aid in improving their leadership effectiveness.
Perks awarded:
A personal name patch for their uniform.
Technician:
Technicians are equivalent to Specialists and are expected to be mentors and subject matter experts in at least one area, qualified by an SME Certification.
They are also expected to run workshops and certification courses in their field of specialty to maintain this position.

Operator:
Operators have demonstrated that they are proficient leaders.
They are expected to be able to lead one to two teams in an operation.
They are promoted to Specialist based on effective leadership of up to four teams, or to Technician through acquiring a SME Certification.

Can host operations.
Contractor:
Contractors have demonstrated they are capable team members.
They are expected to be mentors to lower ranks and may lead a five-man team.
They are promoted to Operator based on advanced combat knowledge and the effective leadership of five-man teams.
Associate:
Associates have demonstrated adequate standards during operations.
They are expected to be competent members.
They are promoted to Contractor based on standard combat knowledge and understanding of ace3 mechanics.
They are not permitted to lead teams.
Candidate:
Candidates are new hires to Sigma Security Group.
Candidates are promoted after they have taken part in an Operation with Sigma Security Group and have demonstrated understanding of the unit, its structure and mission as well as basics of ARMA 3 and ACE3.
Verified:
Are Sigma Security Discord users who have read and accepted the Unit Information. They are expected to attend the mandatory 30 - 45 minute Newcomer Workshop for a crash course on Mission Critical Software, Tactics, and Equipment.
They are assigned the candidate role in Discord upon attending a Newcomer Workshop.
Members may only have two (2) name badges at a time
⭐ Military Service Tag: This emoji is awarded to members who are currently serving or have served in the armed forces. Please approach the Director or a Manager for verification before receiving this role and emoji.
⚡ Curator Tag: This emoji indicates this person is a mentor / instructor to new zeuses and can host canon operations. Approach these members if you wish to be evaluated for the Curator role (you must be at least an Operator). Note that the curator role, which denotes skill in running operations, does not automatically grant the curator name badge, which denotes ability to instruct a new zeus.
💬 Helpdesk: The helpdesk role and emoji is awarded to those who volunteer their time to assisting new members. They may also be expected to host or assist in newcomer workshops. Approach the Director or Unit Staff if you wish to be a part of this group.
🏅 Member of the Quarter - This person has been voted as the "Operator" of the quarter for his/her excellence performance in-game and in the community. This person has gone above and beyond his/her normal responsibilities and that is recognized with this role and emoji for skill, leadership and effectiveness in operations.
🏆 Curator of the Quarter - This person has been voted as the Curator of the quarter for exemplifying himself/herself as an excellent mission curator and Zeus, capable of running consistently enjoyable operations with a variety of interesting themes or unique elements.
