Music Tech
FILM SCORING
One of my goals for Music Technology is to show our scholars that there are different ways to express themselves musically that may not always include playing traditional instruments. We are currently working with digital audio workstations to create loop-based compositions without losing sight of conventional core music standards.
The "performances" on this page may be different from what you usually expect from a showcase. There are no kids on stage, playing traditional instruments or singing songs.
Instead, our scholars have been using music technology to learn about the large role music plays in visual storytelling. They have been working in groups and tasked with creating musical soundscapes that fit assigned videos ranging from drone footage to car commercials.
The videos on this page have been created using musical arrangements made by some of our 5th, and 6th Grade scholars. - Ted Gould, Music & Music Technology Teacher
